This file explains the needed steps to make a release: 1. Change version number in gazpacho/__init__.py 2. Ensure it is a good release 2.1 Run pyflakes and pylint on the whole code base: pyflakes gazpacho tools/pylint.sh gazpacho 2.2 Run all the tests and make sure they all work trial -t tests 2.3 Install gazpacho using --prefix, ensure it works properly: tools/make-release.sh 2.4 Install on windows, ensure it works 3. Update translations: kiwi-i18n -u -c 4. Update NEWS 5. Write a Changelog entry so we know there was a release here. Add === gazpacho X.Y.Z === in top of th ChangeLog 6. Commit these changes 7. Tag svn: svn copy http://svn.sicem.biz/gazpacho/trunk \ http://svn.sicem.biz/gazpacho/tags/X.Y.Z 8. Remove the dist and build directories. 9. Upload tarballs tools/upload.sh 10. Send an email to gazpacho@sicem.biz, pygtk@daa.com.au, gnome-announce-list@gnome.org 11.
