noegnud_lower ------------- Usage: noegnud_lower this is a simple utility that was used by me to unsure that a selection of filenames where all lowercase. takes a single parameter, makes it lowercase and prints it back to stdout. noegnud_fnt2tga --------------- Usage: noegnud_fnt2tga this utility converts an oldstyle dos/bios font like "foo.fnt" into a 16x16 character grid graphical font. this will be rewritten soon as noegnud_fnt2png. noegnud_tiles_split ------------------- Usage: noegnud_tiles_split [destination] this utilility takes a "normal" nethack/variant graphical tileset (png) and splits it up into noegnud format. parameters: : this is the variant-referance file for the varient this tileset origionates from. you should find it in noegnud_data/variant_references/foo.txt. : this is the tileset you wish to convert. : this is the physical width (in pixels ) of each tile. : this is the physical height (in pixels) of each tile. [destination]: (optional parameter) a destination directory name for the many smaller tiles this conversion process creates. it's highly recommended that you first create an empty directory, and use this as a parameter. if you do not specify a parameter, then a new directory will be created for you, in the format " noegnudtileset_ " (using the second parameter you passed). noegnud_tiles_join ------------------ Usage: noegnud_tiles_join [imagemap.html] or noegnud_tiles_join test this utility takes a noegnud format tileset, and rebuilds it into an "old-style" format, as a single image. parameters: : this is the variant-referance file for the varient you wish to build a set for. you should find it in noegnud_data/variant_references/foo.txt. : this is the location of the noegnud-tileset. this is the same directory as the " [destination] " parameter for the utility noegnud_tiles_split. : how many columns wide (in tiles) would you like the resultant build. : this is the name for the resulting single image tileset. [imagemap.html]: (optional parameter) if you would like a web reference built for this tileset then supply a web page name here. please note, once created, this consists of 3 files: [imagemap.html] imagemap_back.png (this graphic should be found in the same directory as these utilities). or: : this is the variant-referance file for the varient you wish to build a set for. you should find it in noegnud_data/variant_references/foo.txt. test: this is literally the word "test", when passed as the 2nd parameter, this utility will ouput a result of builds with various dimensions/columns, and allow you to best select which parameter to pass.
