Netspaces are how you can have multiple server connections in zircon.
However even if you do not want mutiple connections it is recommended
that you use a netspace for your IRC network information.

You create netspace files in the directory "netspaces" in your ~/.zircon
directory and their content is essentially the same as what you can
put in your preferences file. However if you are using Netspaces you should
put server specifications in the preferences file as they will be inaccessible
to you. Zircon will list all the Netspaces in the ~/.zircon/netspaces directory
on the Netspace button in the Control window, but if you want particular
netspaces loaded when zircon starts up you need to include Netspace calls in your
preferences file:

Properties you want shared between Netspaces should be set up in your
preferences file, before the Netspace calls. If you define Channels etc. then
they will appear in each Netspace you load. The netspace created by your
preferences file is called "default" and is only useful for setting global
properties. You can load and unload Netspaces using the menu on the
control window. Loading multiple copies of a Netspace allows you to set up
multiple connections to that IRC network.

You will find with the distribution a large number of Netspace
files containing server definitions for many IRC networks.
